Pictorial: Simple Arabic Eye Makeup

photo 3

I was going to film this tutorial but I didn’t really have time to do that so I decided to do a pictorial instead 🙂

 ~Step 1~

Prime your lids! This is such an important step!! I use MAC Paint Pot in the color Painterly.

 ~Step 2~

Using the 88 Warm Palette – Bronze/Brown (5 in from the bottom left hand side) apply to your lids. I start off by packing the color onto my brush (Sigma Eyeshading Brush No: E55)  then patting the color on my lids, building up the coverage.

 ~Step 3~

Place Makeup Geek’s Bada Bing  in your crease/socket. Create an outer V shape. This doesn’t have to look perfect as you are going to blend it out in the next step.

 ~Step 4~

Time to blend!! I am using Sigma E25 blending brush (side note: I ADORE this brush!) Place the brush in your crease and using windshield wiper motion blend back and forth until the color is softly smoked out….see below photo.

 ~Step 5~

Now to line your lower lash line. I mixed two colors for this part. Makeup Geek’s Burlesque and Sensuous over the top.  See photo below.

 ~Step 6~

Line your waterline! I use Maybelline Gel Liner as it is waterproof so will stay put for longer. To apply use a black eyeliner pencil as it is softer on this delicate part of your eye than a brush….see photo below.

 ~Step 7~

Now to add the inner corner highlight! I always use Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Shimma Shimma for this step. Using the same small brush you used for lining the lower lash line, dab the shimmery color from the inner corner to meet up with the liner and then blend up into the lid color. Using patting motion so as to not blend away the shimmer…see photo below.

 ~Step 8~

Blend a skin tone color along your brow bone…I nearly always use Makeup Geek’s Vanilla Bean for blending. This step softens the line of the crease color…but make sure you don’t bring the color too low into the crease as you will then blend out that crease contour…see photo below.

~Step 9~

Time for that Arabic liner! Using a really fine liner brush and Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black. Take your time with this. Use small strokes to create the lines rather than trying to create the line with one stroke. You can choose how big or small you want the flick….see photo below.

 ~Step 10~

Add mascara – Arbonne It’s a Long Story Mascara.  To make the look more dramatic add false lashes. Then fill in your brows.

~Step 11~

Add blush – Arbonne blush in Apricot. Cheek highlight – MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Red head. Lips – NYX Jumbo Pencil in Rust then NYX Jumbo Pencil in Purple over the top; Gloss is NYX lip gloss in African Queen.
