Makeup Inspiration: Twiggy

This was meant to be a photo tutorial but I could not take good photos last night so I decided I’ll just take some pics at the end and I will create this look again for a video tutorial :)

Speaking of tutorials I have to apologise for not bringing out a video last week! It was my goal to bring out a video once a week but I just have not made the time to sit down and start editing this Taylor Swift video. So I’m sorry about that. I shall edit it this week :)

Can you believe I only managed to take two goodish photos?! My face was not cooperating with the camera ha ha. It’s ok, I will take better pictures next time :)

What did I use?
Face:
  • Morgan Annie Mineral Foundation in Light/Medium.
  • Peach blush from coastal scent blush palette.
  • Barry M Natural Dazzle Matte bronzing powder for contouring.
Eyes:
  • Barry M Kohl pencil in White on the lid and water line.
  • CS 88 Warm palette White over the top of the liner.
  • CS 88 Warm Palette Black in the crease and upper lash line.
  • Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid liner in black over the upper lash line and to draw on the bottom lashes
  • Inika eye liner pencil in black over the the shadow in the crease.
  • Inika mineral eye shadow in Smokin on the lower lash line.
Lips:
  • Elusyion lipstick in Blush.
And that’s it! This is a very monochromatic look, just black and white. It is a fun look and I am going to practice it so I can get the crease line a lot neater and the drawn on lashes more even.

If you like this look please share it with your friends!!

Lots of love,

Jane Volturi makeup from Twilight

>
 Hey guys,

I wanted a darkish look for tonight..my boy and I hosted a dinner party at our house for all his cousins…and came across Jane Volturi’s makeup, so I went with that look..plus I just wanted to make my eyes red :-P This looked really nice in real life. Unfortunately I only have my iPhone at the moment to take photos so the quality sucks. Sorry guys!
I used a dark brown all over the lid and then blended black into the <, crease and under bottom lashes; then I lined my water line with a black gel liner, a coat of black mascara and a nude lipstick. I used a really pale foundation and no blush as she is a vampire after all and has no colour haha. It’s a really simply easy look. I will do this again :-)
Oh and btw, the dinner party went off really well! So much food, I’m so full right now :-D

 The inspiration photo..

>Bonjour mes amies!
Yesterday I was going through Marlena’s (from Makeup Geek) videos. I came across her Cherry Blossom inspired video. Marlena fueled my passion for makeup back in 2007, so a big thanks to Marlena ;-D
