On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink

Hey lovely!

I LOVE this pink themed makeup look I created the other day while I was house sitting for a friend. Who else whips out their makeup bag when they’re bored and home alone? *hands up* anyone? or is it just me? haha. I mean, if you’re going to spend the entire day (and probably night) netflix-ing like a champ then you should be glammed up, right?

I haven’t done a pink look in oh so long so I grabbed my ABH modern renaissance palette and went to town. I hope you enjoy what I came up with – oh and I know it’s a little long but I was in a chatty mood! I promise you’ll have a little laugh when I get scared by a noise (hey! it’s scary being all alone in the countryside after you’ve just watched a horror movie set in the woods!)…. Read More »

Diary of a Makeup Artist: My Favourite Shots from 2016/2017 Wedding Season

Ahhh the winter wedding break blues!! My last wedding was back in May. I do love the winter break but after a couple months I am itching to pick up my brushes again and paint my bridal parties to perfection. Since I still have to wait til September for the 2017/2018 season to start, I decided to go through the photos from some of my favourite weddings of last season. I had so many beautiful brides this last year. I really am so lucky that I have had the best bridal parties over the past 6 years – I can’t believe I am coming up to my seventh year of working as a freelance makeup artist!!

I have to say picking out my favourite photos from these weddings was quite difficult – my brides chose some of Perth’s best photographers to capture their special day. I wanted to post more photos but then you would be scrolling down forever! I have linked back to all the photographer’s websites so you can immerse yourself in more of their stunning work!…

OOTD: If it ain’t black put it back on the rack

Hey lovely,

If there is one colour you will find me wearing a lot of these days it’s black. I never owned a single item of black clothing growing up but now I have a healthy (bordering on obese) amount of black in my closet! Of course I haven’t forgotten my colourful side, so don’t worry I still have plenty of bright clothing in the mix.

This all black outfit is one of my favourites at the moment….

Makeup Tutorial: Cranberry Crush

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Hey lovely!

Today I bring you a look that uses one of my most favourite shades ever – CRANBERRY. I ended up using a whole bunch of colours but that’s because I get excited and want to use all the colours I own haha.
I was so excited to film this tutorial as I haven’t done a cranberry look on my channel which is cray cray considering how much I adore this shade!
I also wanted to see if I could do a whole makeup look using my oval brushes that were sent to me from Simple Glam Girls. I have used the brushes for foundation but never eyeshadow – so you get to see how I go using them in this video. I get excited and want to use all the colours I own haha.
I hope you enjoy!!

VLOG: Weekend Antics

Hi lovely,

I decided to vlog my whirlwind trip down to Bunbury on Friday. It’s only second ever vlog and I had to film on my iPhone as my video recorder’s charger cord decided to die on me 🙁 I thought the quality wasn’t too bad while editing but once uploaded YouTube seemed to reduce it even further so I do apologise for the less than amazeballs quality hehe. Anyways I hope you still enjoy!

Malcolm had a gig booked at the Prince hotel so I came along for the ride….mainly so I had something to vlog about 😛 I woke up early on Friday feeling proper motivated for the first time in a while. I leapt out of bed, had a shower and even did a WORKOUT!!! It felt so good to move my body again…it’s been way too long.

Now, those who know me will attest to the fact that tidiness is no longer my forte (12 year old me would be mortified) so I spent some time tidying the house and my room. How amazing does a clean, tidy room/house feel?!

By this time sleepy head had arisen so I packed my bag and we jumped in the car. First stop Fremantle. Malcolm had to do a quick job there. In the mean time I raced to the petrol station and then to our favourite kebab store, bought my fave falafel and hommus kebab; picked up Malcolm and off to Bunbury we went.

Once in “bunners” I unpacked the car while Malcolm set up for the gig. My good friend Tara met me at the Prince and we snuck off to do some lipstick shopping in Priceline! I’m on a spending ban at the moment so been surrounded by makeup was a real test of my will haha. I managed to not buy anything 😛

I didn’t get any footage of the actual gig, sorry guyyyyys! I basically spent the night standing by the fire outside and peering through the window watching Mal on drums! #groupiealert. After the gig we found another kebab shop then went back to our room where I basically sat on the spare bed munching on my kebab and drinking my orange juice – you should have seen the mattress in the morning, crumbled falafel everywhere! ooopsie.

Saturday morning was rather uneventful.  We packed up our room, ate breakfast at Natural Temptation (highly recommend if you are in Bunbury) and drove back to Perth.

Anyhoooooo! If you enjoyed this vlog please give it a like and subscribe if you haven’t already. As always please shoot me your requests in the comments, what do you want to see next?

Lots of love,

Chloe x
