Bridal Makeup

036Your Trial

For trial makeups I allow two hours, this is to ensure that we have plenty of time to discuss your skin type, how your normally wear your makeup, the style of makeup you want for your wedding etc. We will also discuss your bridesmaids makeup so that on the day we are both comfortable with the style and I can complete the looks promptly.

Below is a checklist to prepare you for your trial

Wedding dress and Bridesmaid dresses have been purchased.

Bring a photo of the dresses to the trial.

Bring images and ideas of the style of makeup you like.

Bring a photo of how you wear your makeup on a night out.

This gives me a visual of how you normally wear your makeup.

On Your Wedding Day

Time management and organisation is essential on the day of your wedding. I will arrive 15 minutes early to allow for setup time. I ask that once I have completed a makeup that the next person be ready to hop in my chair straight away, this ensures we run on time.

To help with the flow of the day I suggest writing out a timetable so each person knows what time they are getting their hair and makeup done. I allocate 45 minutes per person for makeup. It is best to have hair done first, unless the hair will be across your face, however the order of completion is totally up to your or your hair stylist.

Please ensure that everyone has a clean face and  has brushed their teeth prior to makeup application, it’s very messy trying to brush your teeth once lipstick is on!
