Ariana Grande Inspired Makeup Tutorial

*UPDATED. Sorry guys! I didn’t realise that the first video I put up was all jumpy half way through. I have rectified the problem, and the above video is the updated one. πŸ™‚

My latest tutorial is inspired by Ariana Grande! I had a request from a YouTube follower, asking me to create Ariana’s makeup look. I hadn’t heard of her before this request so I googled her name haha. She’s a Nickelodeon actress and singer.

Tutorial: Spring/Summer Inspired Makeup Look

(Make sure you watch the video in HD!!)
This week’s tutorial is super easy, colorful and fun πŸ™‚ I really hope you guys like it!!Last week Belinda and I headed down toΒ Β Yellagonga Regional ParkΒ for a fun spring inspired photo shoot. I had this vision of running through the tall grass looking all romantic and fun…of course reality hit when I remembered that I’m actually allergic to grass and so ended up being SUPER itchy! πŸ˜› haha. Oh well, it was worth it because I love the photos πŸ™‚ I will be posting the some very soon!!For my makeup I wanted something bright, but not too bright, fun and easy, as who wants to spend hours doing their makeup when a beautiful spring/summer day is beckoning?!I checked out the recent 2013 Spring/Summer fashion shows and when I saw the models’ makeup for the Christian Dior show I decided that was going to be my inspiration for this look. Here is the photo I came across:

My version is a little different. I skipped the black liner on the upper lash line, and instead of red lips I used a pretty pink lipstick. I also added some gold liner to my waterline and smudged a darker purple on my lower lash line.

And here is a sneak peek from the Spring Shoot!!!

Do you like my hair? It was so long and boofy I wasn’t sure what to do with it! So I put some product through it and then twisted bits of hair and pinned it back randomly. I was quite pleased with the result hehe. πŸ™‚

Today is another fabulous spring day…made even better by that fact that my boy is coming home this afternoon!! I’m so excited πŸ™‚ I woke up about 3 times last night ha ha.

So I shall sign off now as I have to head off to the airport soon!

Photo Shoot: Steampunk at The Pinnacles

Hi!!

I’m sorry that I’ve been a bit quiet on here this past week! I don’t actually have internet connection at home so I do most of my blogging at my boyfriend’s house. But he has been in Europe for the past month so I’ve had to use my iPhone as internet for that time and now I’ve run out of data on my phone…meaning I can’t use it for the next couple weeks! Boo πŸ™ So I’m currently typing this post at McDonalds, taking full advantage of their free Wi-Fi πŸ˜›Β

I am finally posting the photos from my Steampunk shoot up at the Pinnacles!! Belinda’s husband Brendon (otherwise known as chauffeur and pack horse ;)) came along on our road trip, so while he drove Belinda and I amused ourselves by filming the endless scrub and pretty much talking non-stop hehe. I’ve never actually been to the Pinnacles so I was pretty excited to do this photo shoot up there. Hehe to be honest I actually wasn’t even sure WHERE the Pinnacles were located so when Belinda suggested we do a shoot up there I said “yeah that sounds awesome!” then went home and googled what they were and where they are located πŸ˜› hahaha. I have heard of them just wasn’t too sure what they looked like ha. Anyway, now I know that they are a bunch of rocks growing up out of the ground in pointy and sometimes amusing shapes ha ha.Β

Many thanks to the lovely Zoe from The Powder Room for loaning me these gorgeous corsets and skirts!! My dream of wearing a corset finally came true πŸ˜€ Do check out The Powder Room, Zoe sells the most divine clothing and some of the shoes are to die for πŸ˜› Lucky for me I don’t have a huge amount of money otherwise I would be spending up big hehe.

How divine is this corset?! Despite the fact that I could NOT breathe whilst wearing it, I fell madly in love with it and did not want to give it back.

I wasn’t too sure how to do my makeup for SteamPunk. In the end I went with dark bronze eyes and a really dark redish purple lipstick and mixed black eyeliner around the edges for a gothic look. In the photos though my lips just look red ha ha.Β

Now, because I’ve been very naughty and neglected to do this post straight away I am now having trouble remembering what makeup I used πŸ™ I shall try my best to list everything!

Products.
Face:
Arbonne Face Primer.
Arbonne Liquid foundation – Soft Blush.
Barry M Matte Bronzer
I can’t remember what blush I used, sorry!

Makeup Geek – Vanilla Bean: To blend out Bada Bing.
Makeup Geek – Shimma Shimma: Highlight for Inner Corners of my eyes.

Morgan Annie Mascara – Black.

Lips:

This was a really fun shoot because we got to go on a road trip!! I tried out my video camera during the day so I will have a go at editing the footage and putting together a little video…no promises though…we did waffle a lot πŸ˜›Β

And so concludes another post πŸ™‚Β

Please bear with me for the next week as my posts may be on the light side until my boy returns from his travels (this coming Wednesday!!! :D)

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Love,
