Pictorial: Simple Arabic Eye Makeup

photo 3

I was going to film this tutorial but I didn’t really have time to do that so I decided to do a pictorial instead 🙂

photo 1

 ~Step 1~

Prime your lids! This is such an important step!! I use MAC Paint Pot in the color Painterly.

photo 2

 ~Step 2~

Using the 88 Warm Palette – Bronze/Brown (5 in from the bottom left hand side) apply to your lids. I start off by packing the color onto my brush (Sigma Eyeshading Brush No: E55)  then patting the color on my lids, building up the coverage.

photo 4

 ~Step 3~

Place Makeup Geek’s Bada Bing  in your crease/socket. Create an outer V shape. This doesn’t have to look perfect as you are going to blend it out in the next step.

photo 1

 ~Step 4~

Time to blend!! I am using Sigma E25 blending brush (side note: I ADORE this brush!) Place the brush in your crease and using windshield wiper motion blend back and forth until the color is softly smoked out….see below photo.

photo 4

 ~Step 5~

Now to line your lower lash line. I mixed two colors for this part. Makeup Geek’s Burlesque and Sensuous over the top.  See photo below.

photo 1

 ~Step 6~

Line your waterline! I use Maybelline Gel Liner as it is waterproof so will stay put for longer. To apply use a black eyeliner pencil as it is softer on this delicate part of your eye than a brush….see photo below.

photo 2

photo 3

 ~Step 7~

Now to add the inner corner highlight! I always use Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Shimma Shimma for this step. Using the same small brush you used for lining the lower lash line, dab the shimmery color from the inner corner to meet up with the liner and then blend up into the lid color. Using patting motion so as to not blend away the shimmer…see photo below.

photo 4

photo 5

 ~Step 8~

Blend a skin tone color along your brow bone…I nearly always use Makeup Geek’s Vanilla Bean for blending. This step softens the line of the crease color…but make sure you don’t bring the color too low into the crease as you will then blend out that crease contour…see photo below.

photo 2

~Step 9~

Time for that Arabic liner! Using a really fine liner brush and Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black. Take your time with this. Use small strokes to create the lines rather than trying to create the line with one stroke. You can choose how big or small you want the flick….see photo below.

photo 3

photo 5

 ~Step 10~

Add mascara – Arbonne It’s a Long Story Mascara.  To make the look more dramatic add false lashes. Then fill in your brows.

photo 2

~Step 11~

Add blush – Arbonne blush in Apricot. Cheek highlight – MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Red head. Lips – NYX Jumbo Pencil in Rust then NYX Jumbo Pencil in Purple over the top; Gloss is NYX lip gloss in African Queen.

A few weeks ago I posted the picture below on my Instagram. One of my followers commented that she wanted to know how to do this look herself so I said that I would film a tutorial for her. I am sorry it has taken me so long!! I have been so busy and I haven’t mastered the art of great time management yet ha ha.

*please note: Arbonne recently contacted me through my blog and said they don’t like me talking about the fact that I sell Arbonne. Therefore I will no longer be talking about Arbonne nor promoting it on my blog. I will still use their foundations because I love them!! but will not be  reviewing or using the products much in my makeup looks from now on. Apparently they only want you to talk about Arbonne “face to face” so I can’t talk about it online….not sure how that works considering so many people have their own Arbonne Facebook pages! And I’m not allowed to have a link to the official Arbonne website, seriously? how is having a link to their website a bad thing?? Anyhoo!

I hope that you guys liked this tutorial 🙂 I will be filming another requested tutorial very soon!!!

Much love to you all xoxox

Tim Burton Series: Dark Shadows.

I watched Dark Shadows a few months ago and ever since have wanted to create a makeup look inspired by the film. I am a huge fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp….I would love to meet them in real life!

Anyhoo, fan girl moment over, I finally got around to filming a Dark Shadows tutorial this week. I’m not completely happy with it, there are a few things I can definitely improve upon…I think I will film another one soon, one that is based off Barnabas so it will be super freaky and completely unwearable 😛 The look I’ve created today is the wearable version.

My friend Hutch makes a ghost appearance haha, he’s the friend who keeps interrupting my filming 😛

I hope you enjoy it! *make sure you watch it in HD 1080 if you can as the quality is SO much better and clearer!*

Glitter Makeup Tutorial!

Hey all 🙂

First up, I’m really sorry about the rubbish quality of these pics…I have to use my iPhone as I don’t have a camera at the moment 🙁 Jack has a good camera that he hasn’t used for a while so I’m thinking I’ll steal it off him 😛

This is my first time ever using glitter!! I ordered LASplash glitter from Makeup Geek and it came in the mail end of last week. I have now worn glitter 2 days in a row 😛 New obsession hehe.

Here’s the video I filmed! I hope you like it 🙂 Please let me know what you think either by commenting here or by commenting on my YouTube channel!

Please watch in HD for better viewing 🙂
